Family Reunion Gratitude

I don’t know too many families that arrange their family reunion as a tailgate party before a college football game. Except, apparently, ours.  We gathered on a perfect East Tennessee Saturday morning at the family farm, to catch up and swap stories before a majority of attendees headed up for the game. Here’s my list for the week. It’s heavy on gratitude for one day, but it was a special one.

  • The subtle hints from mountain trees that fall is really on its way
  • Being part of a family of faith and fun:)
  • For family present and family far away in New Mexico, Nashville, and Okinawa to name a few…
  • Cousins dancing in the dew

  • Walk along the fence

  • Cows and cousins

  • Old love…

  • And new

  • A meeting of the minds over Legos

  • Four generations enjoying a pre-game game
